full LED dash retro almost done -orange-
so time for a change again, i wanted led dash lights so i dont have to worry about the bulbs burning out and stuff. Well I chose orange led 10,000mcd resistored to 16V but they are still crazy bright. I evened out the dial lighting using see-through printer paper. Its nice, and the orange is very dark and intense, idk i like it but it doesnt really match the 04 cluster that well. But it looks pretty nice i might have to add more resistor to the power wires because it seems too bright. But oh well good for now. i still need to do mirror/moonroof/fog switches
anyway here are pics!

its bright but not that bad, makes the dash look brighter at night. i like it cause now i can actually see the lights when its getting close to dark instead of having them wash out. and its pure dark orange not like the pics at all. its more of halloween orange lol. but anyway, i tried doing the other switches and i couldnt get the fog light to work due to the stupid film making it too dim. i was able to solder an led to the mirror switch which i'll post up tonight, and i gave up on the roof, but at least one button is done hey! heres a better pic i tried to chop, it looks more like this.

well i forgot to change the button indicator lights. on my first one i had em all amber, but now theyre the stock amber/green/amber. its okay cause i almost never use ac. i hate green too lol. i covered up the green dots on the gauge cluster too.

well sweet i finally stopped being lazy and put some extra resistors on the power wires. it now is about as bright as stock and slightly dimmer than the alpine 4-buttons light. blends in well now
okay but im not too happy with the lighting in the middle temp dial. the blue is mixing and making a purple color. so it looks like i may be doing a hybrid dial swap. hopefully the lil icons line up the right way. im gonna try it cause the hybrid dials look alot better at night.

its not really a kit at all as you can see. i just bought individual leds and glued them to the piece, then wired together.

too bright!? i can barely even see the buttons. or do you mean the four big buttons? i left mine in bright mode to match the new dash pieces i did, but the deck does have a dimmer feature. if you dont have the ILLUM wire hooked up, then just go into the menu and change dim to manual instead of auto.

it just takes time, and you should get some spare pieces, because you cant really drive your car without those pieces installed. turn signals wont work among other things.
