What HID kit to buy?

Does anyone know where I can get a good HID kit (I want really bright blue lights)? I want somethin cheap, but good quality. What is the difference between all the kits anyways? Thanks.

you get what you pay for. good kits arent cheap like catz which goes for $350-600 if you can find one. good kits use oem hardware that lasts a long time and the bulbs are properly designed for the least amount of glare. but if you wanna try cheaper kits, make sure they at least come with glare shields so you dont blind other traffic. and if you want bright blue, which is illegal, you need to go above 4300k white, more like 6000k + for the blue and this also will make the light output dimmer.

First of all, THANK YOU GEARBOX...you have answer all or almost all of my questions so far lol...

Do you think I should buy an HID kit or just get Luminics Krypton Pure Blue bulbs (low and high beams)? What are the pros and cons of each? Thanks!

honestly, hid is gonna cause more problem than its worth mainly to other driver and cops too (its illegal). the problem is hid bulb is very different shaped compared to halogen, so when you throw it in a housing designed for halogen optics, it messed up everything. now getting glare shields does help alot, but its still a bit too bright. and doing a retrofit isnt that much more than buying a kit, you can find some cheap real hid projectors and then find bulbs and ballasts to light em up and mount all that into your stock headlight or aftermarket projection lights. it will be like oem factory. or just stick with halogen bulbs. if you stay halogen, and you like the coated blue bulbs or whatever, its not gonna be as bright as the clear bulbs. so keep that in mind you wont see much light on the ground. they also sell +50 clear bulbs which are brighter than stock, but the color isnt much different just brighter and slightly whiter. osram silverstar, philips vision plus, ge nighthawk, etc
