thats a mistake. 168/194 is a mini wedge bulb. the 01-03 sedan reverse is 7440. coupe is different

well all it says for coupe is the wattage

brake/tail 21/5w
backup (01-03) 16w
back up (04) 18w
turn (01-03) 27w
turn (04) 21w
side marker (01-03) 3.8w

your car manual should have more info. i have a sedan so cant help there.

its 921 for the reverse lights. I went with after market ones but it didnt really make a difference. So i just went back to stock. If someone could do a LED retrofit on that, that would be crazy

Well if they are 921's looks like we have two choices, the 194 here, high power led
and also the unit here, 9 led hid look

So what is your opinion guys which one would be brighter????

921=/194 not the same. just get some H1 halogen and retro them in there (with bigger harness ofcourse).

Well the website that the 921 would replace 194's and 168's but that the hole would have to be modified cause the 921 has a bigger diameter.
So you dont think it would work?

The h1 would be great, hehe.

well 194 is only like 5w and i think 921 is 16-18w so its gonna be crazy dim. i was thinkin about getting those to replace my front 194 parking light, but thats 3x more wattage idk if the stock wire can handle it.

Well I tried a 194 bulb in there last night. It fits with no problems. It was dimmer of course. The only way to see I think is just order some of the leds and see if they're brighter than stock. So i'll get some here soon and we'll see what happens. I'm going to order some anyway so might as well get two extras. Thanks for your help guys.

Well guys I ordered the leds got them in last night. Very fast shipping excellent company. First off I put one led in the maplight and left the stock bulb in there. I also put one led in the backup light and left one stock bulb in it. So once it got dark last night I tested them out. The map light is a much whiter color but the stock bulb put out just a little bit more light. Then I checked out the reverse lights the led doesnt use the lens housing as gearbox found out with his, so its just not bright at all. The stock bulb puts out way more light. So back to stock on the reverse lights. I did put one red one in the trunk light and it puts out a lot more light than the colored 194 standard bulb. So happy with the maplights and the red one in the trunk.
Oh and I ordered these. high power led
