I'm wondering how i can install and which types of neons to buy. I was just thinking of getting a few 6 inches from Walmart, but it seems that they all come with a cigarette lighter attachment and say "Easy Installation". But i'm not ready to have a huge adaptor plugged into my lighter. What i'm wondering is that can i just cut that part off and wire it directly to the battery. I was thinking about putting an in-line fuse and switch on the positive side of the wire? If i were to do that what size of fuse would i need to install? and how could i wire multiple lights to one switch?

u should connect it to the 12v power supply for your cigartette lighter adapter thingy. thats what i did so that they turn on when the key is on the on position and turns off when its not.

why? interior neons are okay, even honda has an oem "accent light" kit for the new civics and its blue.

I found a discarded sub box w/ 2 blue neons on it... disconnected the neons, chucked the box, and set them up under my seats and they look great!(power from the 12v outlet)

So it is o.k to just cut that cigirette lighter thing off and wire it to a 12V supply. I'm hoping to put a switch to it so i can turn them off when i want to. Thanks alot! Sorry but i dont know what "f" and f-3 is? what is it?

lol. you dont need to cut the wires either, just strip and splice in your neon wires. that way the socket will still work.

the cigarette lighter power is gr8, but i prefer to put a relay on the illumination wire to switch them on when i turn on my lights, so they only come on at night, thats how i did my leds over my feet.

all my neons (in-vents and in_dash) are connected to several wires where power only travels when the headlights are on

and i have under seat and under dash connected to the dome light so i only turns on when the door is open

I'd say forget the ones from Wal-Mart and buy them from Oznium.com They are cheap(like 7 dollars for a pair including the transformer) and it's just a matter of tapping into a ground and a +12v.

Did I mention that they are dirt cheap?

where is the wire for the headlights. I want to install my neons there, but i cant find it. any suggestions?

well its on the headlight connector. the red wire on one side, the yellow/red wire on the other side i believe.
