Int.Neons help!
I am wanting to put some green interior neons to match my underglow. Problem is I can't decide whether to just go to advanced and pick up 4 or 6 and place them under the seats and dash then wire them all together, or if I should look into getting one of those interior kits? what do you guys think? I really want my interior to be bright to, so should I think about some LED's from Hi-Tech Design? if anyone is familiar with them. thanks for the help guys...
Nice, can you see it from outside the car? and did you run all the wires together and into a switch? I was thinking about running all the wires from the interior into my underbody switch so I don't have to go through the firewall again and to the battery. I just want people to be able to see it from the outside and be able to hide it when the po po come callin

its a little noticable from the outside, some objects like the a-pillars, steering wheel, etc.. might have a shine from them. i used a different switch for each set, 1 for the ones under the dash, 1 for the ones under the seat and 1 for the ones in the air vents. the switches are the lights in my console in the pic.

looks good. i used two interior accent sets from streetglo, one 12" under the seat on the frame of the car, and two 6" in the footwells, they work great but you cant really see them from the outside with my tints. funny thing is, after driving with them and seeing my feet, it feels really weird to drive without them in my other 5 spd car.
here, 99cent green neons which work better than the street glos

instead of wiring it to your battery, why not just tap it into the cig lighter? i believe that location has constant power going to it. so just tap that and wire the switch with it.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

2. You can take power right off the battery, but you must have a fuse (check manufacturers recommendations as to the amp rating of the fuse
3. The fuse should (basically must) be within 18" of the battery. This is pretty important. Don't ask why, I don't want to get into it.
4. Ground using a new ground point if you can. Drill a hole into some metal of the car. I have used the metal behind the cig lighter before, and it worked fine. Drill a small hole, use a self tapping screw, and make sure you sand off the paint around the hole so the wire is grounded well. use a ring terminal at the end of the wire so it will never fall out as long as the screw is in place.
5. Power wire and ground wire must be the same gauge, or thickness its another important thing for safety.
Hope that helped.
Actually hooking it to teh cig lighter wire is a good idea since that way you cannot drain your battery unless you want to. You will have to keep the key in the car so if you leave the car you know they are off. Also note the fuse to the cig lighter is quite small, maybe 10 amps iirc. So if you do wire it there then you must be careful to not use anything in the cig lighter with the lights on unless its like a cell charger or something small like a map light.
