HID Help Please

Whats up guys/gals..... We'll I'll be doing a HID coverstion Soon, I've Oppted to retro fit the Audi A6 HIDS. But I have a couple questions.. I dont what to look like a total dumb *** so heres a couple questions i have.. im hoping some of you will awsners and not just tell me to search.. I've already search'd and came up with nothing.. so any help will be much appriciated.. so here we go.

1. When I go to the Audi Dealership.. what Parts am i asking for?? The HID assembly??
2. When i do Convert. what will become of my high beams? Will the HID compleatly replace the Low and High beams? or just low.
3.When the HID bulb Goes bad. (assuming they do) how much or hard are they to replace??..

4. and Finally when Aiming.. how difficult is it ?..

These are hella basic but i need to learn somehow.. thats why were all hear right?? anyways.. thanks.

1. you will get raped if you go to dealership. Go to hidplanet.com or ebay. Get projectors, ballast and bulbs.

2. get bi-xenon projectors. Bi-xenon = high beam and low beam. Single xenon = low beam only.

3. $60 for used ones and $200 for new

4. depends on if you use the tyc or your oem headlights. Oem headlights are more of a difficult install.

tyc housing and audi a4 valeo projectors are the easy way to go..a4 projectors fits almost perfect in to the tyc housing....i can get you a4 ECE valeo d2s projectors , ballast and bulbs around 400.00 shipd...let me know...

let me know i will give u the guy ph# who sales them on ebay...he is local here so i just picked it up and was cheaper cuz he didnt had to pay ebay fee and shipping and all that..

i think ballast give u more light output using low volt....i am not sure..tho

a ballast just regulates the voltage has nothing to do with more/less light. it brings in the 9 - 16 volts required to turn on the lamps then converts it to the x,000 volts needed to keep them running.
