Exclamation need wiring help (turns and parking) ASAP

2003 civic lx, but anyone who knows wiring can probly help me.

1) I needed to get amber turn signal bulbs, however they do NOT make amber 7443 bulbs. Can I: A) Use a 7440 amber bulb in its place? (its the same shape and connection) Or can I B) Buy a single lead bulb connector, and splice that in where the regular 3 wire honda connector is (and if so how?)

2) The parking lights aren't working, I checked every fuse I can, bulbs are not blown.... and there is no fuse labled Parking Lights.... WTF?

you can use a 7440, but it won't light up when you turn on your parking lights

parking lights not working? check every connection. maybe your harness is melted (unlikely) or cut (more likely than melted).

Another solution, send me $5 and I'll ship you my amber 7443 from japan I used for only a couple months. Very good quality and the glass is actually colored not just a coating.

7440 has nothing to do with parking lights, it would be for the turn signals..... would it light up?
WAIT, why didn't you ******** tell me in the first place they DID make them, just usually cant find them at auto parts stores. They have bajillions on silve coated amber 7443's on the internet for super cheap..... damnit, lol.

And as far as the parking lights not working, is there a fuse for them like there is for the headlights and turns signals? I know they are connected to a green tab just above the fuse box under the steering wheel, but it's not a fuse, its just a plug.

the parking lights have a tendency to burn out quickly due to overheating. I've seen alot of cars with one or both out. So check to make sure its not a burnt bulb first. Did you want my amber 7443? Try looking at autozone first or something cause they might have a pair.

gearbox, no, I ordered a couple silver coated/amber 7443's online this morning, thanks though.

the parking lights are not burnt out. I did find out that apparently they run off a 10A fuse that also runs the tails, license plate light, dash lights etc...... all of which are out, so it's not the bulb..where the EFF is this fuse?

check the manual? Its either under the hood fuse box near the battery or under the dash where the brake pedal is. Just look up and there's a panel that comes off under the steering wheel. More fuses there.

thats almost insulting, like I haven't checked the fuses. The manual doesn't list any fuse, either under the steering column or in the engine bay for the parking lights, tails etc..nor do the fuse layouts on the covers to the fuses areas list it...NOTHING. That's the problem.

sorry i assumed you didn't know where the fuse box is. I guess just take each one out. Its a pain but you'll find the one thats blown.

yeah... ive checked every 10A and 7.5A one I could pull. I read somewhere that the parking lights, tails are hooked up to a green pull out connector located just above the fuses... which I can see, with a red/black wires in it, however no chance in getting to it w/o a dash tear down.... which I'm hoping I don't have to do. Am really hoping there is a more simple answer.

Just an update for anyone else who has this problem, the fuse that controls the parking lights, tails, license plate, dash lights etc is the #2 15A fuse under the hood labled SMALL LIGHT. I finally fixed my problem with generous help from CraigW, thanks man!
