led install; fake alarm
aight so i was around a while ago looking at led threads through the search function, and found some diy for hooking up an led so that when the car is off the led blinks like having an alarm. as dumb as that sounds (similar to putting alarm stickers all over ur house windows) this should deter someone that is not a professional from brakeing in and stealing all my ish.
so i went out and bought some streetglow headlight led's to install one within the cabin. I searched for the thread again and nothing this time. Does anyone knoe how to set up the wiring for this (impulse? maybe).....need help and dont want to shell out 200-400 for an alarm that is going to do the same thing.

Wiring is pretty simple. The LED should have 3 wires, one for the ground, one for the battery aka Constant 12V and one for the swich (usually connected to that core of the alarm)
The first two is pretty easy, Ground wire all you need to do is find some baremetal surface with a screw near by and by a screw hub and screw the ground wire in.
Battery aka constant you can splice into your fuses with this one all you need is a fuse splicer and a fuse tester. With the car turned off use the fuse tester to see which fuse still has constant power, then do the same with the car turned on.
The switch wire is similar to the battery aka constant wire. The only difference is you need to find a fuse that is not getting power while the car is turned on, other wise your led will be on all the time even when you are driving. To determine this use the fuse tester to see which fuse has no power while the car is one once you find that splice into it with the fuse splicer.
That is probally the easiest way with out cutting wires and such.

It is, but I would rather a blue one, or a blue cover for the light. I have a white light with a little red cover. I messed with it a bunch when I was trying to wire 2 isntead of one, but couldnt figure it out. Now it doesnt work, but is connected correctly.
