help me match colour with hid's
help me match colour with hid's
i have projectors on my 2001 civic.
i am using 8000k Hids on my projectors. (low beam)
but i cannot find a normal xenon bulbs (high beam) to match with the colour of my low beam . it really looks bad when someone sees it from far.
is there any way i can colour up the bulbs? so tht it matchs with the colour of my hid? (it is slight purplish) i actually tried glass paint and the colour was perfect but after a couple of mins , it just fried up and bcame black!.

Okay, the CoolBlue bulbs are 3500K and the Silverstar bulbs are 4000K. You are going to be better off trying to find bulbs that are tinted to fake the color of high temperature bulbs because halogens don't go higher than 4000K or so.
On projectors arent the bulbs on at dif times ie High Beams on means Low Beams off and vice versa. How does it look bad its not like the bulbs are on together so people can see a color dif. Unless somehow you made it that way.

Yup you can't match 8k. Here is a site if anyone wants to match normal 4-5k hid.
