Rep Power: 0 how many LEDs did you use and what resistors..
is there a step by step of this?
for us LAZY or less electronic whiz, would you make it and sell it? if so how much? LEDs/insterts and labour and shipping

Rep Power: 0 Making LED gauge inserts and selling them did cross my mind. However, I figured the idea wouldn't be all that practical because there are quite a few variants as far as clusters go. Acura EL, auto/5speed, civic, civic w/o a tach, etc. In order to do it right, I'd need to get a cluster first and then engineer it from there.
For mine, I took it apart, photocopied the actual gauge mylar and built up my inserts from there. Unfortunately there is no easy way around it if you want to do it the way I did mine. I also had to do some serious Dremel tool work to cut the existing clear plastic light guides.
I had, however, thought about selling my modified cluster. I bought a second cluster at the Toronto meet back in may, and I have that one in my car right now. But, the cluster I did it up with LEDs has about $70US worth of LEDs and probably over 100 hours of labour in it. I don't think I could get a decent offer on it -
