Lets clear this up once and for all. Clear taillights are perfectly legal, but you need to have red reflector somewhere on the back of the car (either on the light or on the bumper). As long as you have red colored bulbs for the brakes, or red bulbs with chrome covering to keep the clear look, you should be okay. Someone switched the stock coupe taillight outer cover with a clear one from a tyc light. Looked okay I guess, and it can be done.

If you really want them, take a set of alteeza's apart, and remove the red reflectors out of them. Though to give them the white smoked look, you might have to use some glass frosting and clear coat it. You could also use glass frosting and externally spreay it in some alteezas and then clear coat them. Someone had a set like this for sale in the fs forum.
