I'm here trying to get info on HID's for my car. I know that I don't want anything any higher than 4300k. What's the best kit to go with? Where can I get a pair of HID's for the cheapest price? At the same time I would like to see if I can match the OEM foglights with bulbs too. Where can I get some bulbs to match?
Read Impulse's FAQ; the link is in the signature.
Retrofitting is taking a headlight system made for HIDs and some custom work to make it fit in your car (which does not have HIDs).
I don't think you'll ever find a bulb to match the "whiteness" of the HIDs. Maybe some multi LED bulbs but not sure.
Like Impulse said, I'd recommend CATZ.
I dont think Phillips makes an HID "kit." Kit meaning an Phillips brand ballast, ignitor, and bulbs.
I believe Phillips just makes bulbs (called Ultinon) and the "kits" are usually packaged with Hella or some no name asian ballasts/ignitors and sellers just call them a Phillips kit.
The best kit to go with?
If money isn't an issue I'd recommend some Bellof Spec Le Mans HIDs.
This kit was engineered for use in endurance races such as the Le Mans 24hour and the Daytona 24hour. Around $1500. =)

I appreciate the info. I'll check the HID FAQ on Impulse's signature. If there's anything else that anyone may think of that may hit me up with some more insight on this, i'll greatly appreciate it. thanks.

Neither does Hella.
I recommend Catz and McCulloch, if you can find them.

Strange, I know 5 or 6 people with McCulloch kits that have had them for well over a year without a single problem. I personally have had mine for just over a year, as well.
And yes, search for Fake phillips HID!
At least those would be honest, and probably cheaper.
Most P&H kits have ballasts pulled from junkyards, defects, or worse, fakes.

If the employee didn't mention the fact that the Spec Le Mans are strictly for off-road and are illegal for street use, I would have bought them!!

But yes, go with Bellof for the best HIDs!

How much are those Bellof HIDS go for? Where do I look for them. Right now I'm in Japan and doing as much research I can before I go with a certain kit. I REALLY APPRECIATE THE INPUT GUYS!!!! Thanks.
I got mine from AutoWave in Tokyo. Open 24/7!!! I bought mine at around 1am =P
Roughly $1000 for the H4 Spark White 6000K bulbs and the Spec 01 Evolution ballasts/ignitors. You need 2 boxes; one for the bulbs and one for the ballasts/ignitors.
If you want to put them in the projectors you can get H1 bulbs I believe.
If you want better light output and more efficiency, you'll have to retrofit HID projectors.
You need to buy some Bellof bulbs in either D2S or D2R sizes.
But if you do go to AutoWave you'll have other choices from Catz, Piaa, Polarg, etc... good luck choosing!!! I know I had a hard time!
