Got new J-spec sidemarkers!
Woo! Got my clear sidemarkers from robearracing today with great service as usual. My old APC crap ones started to discolor and leak, so I got some new J-spec sidemarkers.
I'm installing them right now, and the hardest part of widening the holes is done. That's scary stuff! I almost messed up. And I think they should be even. It's dark now, so I'm working on the primer and paint. Maybe in a few hours I'll put the markers on and take em for a test run.
I even got new 194 bulbs for them. They're the raybrig hyper clear bulbs that are 2x brighter than stock. They don't have any coating, though, so they match the stock parking lights. I'm just gonna have them blink with the singal and not stay on. Well, hopefully I can get pics up tonight!

I'll try and post day pics tomorrow evening. I had to cut a much bigger hole for the new ones, and it wasn't fun hearing the metal and paint make crunching noises as I cut it. Turned out okay from what I can tell at night.
They are so bright with the new bulbs, and it still keeps the stock/clear look I'm going for.

Do they use a square cutout that they snap in to, or a round hole plus screwholes?
I'd like to get a set, but I'm nervous about having holes through the body with no gaskets to seal it against the elements.

Looks good gearbox.
I put mine on last spring. I havent noticed any problems/rusting externally. I'll probably take a look inside when I put my summer wheels back on in a couple weeks.

My holes were a bit messed up, but they still fit in okay without being loose. It's got a clip on one side.
Hey I had to cut off the plug on the back to wrap wires around the metal terminals. It didn't come with another wire harness to plug into them.
