I have the OEM spoiler on there, and the light on it is hooked up and the 3rd brake light no longer is in use. Now, my car is going into the body shop, and the spoiler is going, doing away with the light on it. And, being as it is evidently tied into the 3rd brake light on the rear deck, I was wondering what would be necessary to resume the use of the 3rd brake light as opposed to the extra light on the spoiler?

Just unplug the wires going into the spoiler light and re-plug it into the 3rd brake light on the car.

I don't think there is a plug there, I think they cut and soldered, but I can't look right now, cause its in the body shop getting work done.

It would be weird if it was soldered on cause that would be more work than just unplugging from 3rd brake light and plugging into spoiler. (I know it's the exact same plug cause I put my spoiler in myself and it was just an unplug and plug) I guess if it was soldered, then see if the shop can take care of it for you.

I am on the process of installing my new spoiler. It is an OEM spoiler, and it came with the harness.

I havent check the trunk yet, but I only have to unplug the third light and plug the spoiler light right?


I see that a lot of users put spoiler so any feedback would be appreciated.
