Question Projector headlights, worth it?

I have noticed on some of my friends 7th gens the projectors don't light up the street very well at all, but on my friend's 5th gen they work better then stock lights. Do the projectors just suck for 7th gens or does it varie with the brand, and is it worth it to get some?

I bought mine not too long ago and already had to replaces bulbs twice. Its mostly for show, plus they really don't light as well as factory lights, but they still look sweet. They are my first pair so i can't compare to other projectors.

i wont say they all suck, they TYC's are pretty good, but your not going to get that good light output from aftermarket headlights that you would OEM's or JDM's but I guess if you installed a HID kit it would make a difference.

Also as far as blowing your blubs, make sure you stick with the stock wattage, so maybe around 55-60watts or so. Most hypers whites and others are like 70+.

I have had 3 different sets of projectors and I have loved each one more than the one before. I think as long as they are aimed correctly they are OK

yea, i herd the housing has to be modified in order to fit the h1 hid bulb. You have to sand down a part of the inner housing in order for them to fit, or something like that. Do a search on here, and you should be able to find out more.

I got JDM projectors and used silverstar h1 bulbs at first . The high beam is needless to say blinding in the daylight the low beam is a pain to get adjusted correctly. My stock lights light up more area but the projectors have gave me a broader range in front of me. I am working on the HID conversion either using the h3 or h1 kit and I should be set then . IMO the projectors are better when setup correctly and with good bulbs as well .

h1 hid are overrated in the tycs. lights on a prjector is determined by the lens, if the tyc puts out crap for headlights stock, what makes you think it will do any better with a set of hids

those pics are mostly older, i already have the oem osram bulbs and oem plugs into the setup, just haven't taken pics yet, it's VERY purple when you look at it. it even has a tint of purple on the ground, but it's BRIGHT
