HID's on BMW

My friend got a HID kit for his bmw 328i. But the problem he has now is that it blinds you really badly becuase he has no projectors. I heard somethin about a cut off shield but have no idea how to fix it.

i know that bmws with hids have an automatic leveler thingy so it doesnt blind traffic

Ya but he never had HID on his car he got a kit from ebay. Supposedly off a 745 or somethin. Those retrofit kits

If he doesnt have projectors then he has a reflector?

He needs something called a casper shield.
