Headlight Bulbs
I need some replacement Headlight bulbs for my 2002 honda civic. I have no idea what to get. HID conversions are way too expensive. I was thinking about the Mtec? please help me. All i want are the brightest bulbs around under 100 dollars. Also would I need to replace any of the wiring if I get differnt bulbs? Will I need to replace the wiring if I got the mtecs? Please help. Thanks

I've heard the Mtechs are good. . Also if you wanna try something different try the Piaa H4 Gt3's. Remember when you buy a bulb get the 55 watt ones. That'll keep you from burning your plastic on the heads. .

get PIAA bulbs. the size is H4. PIAAs should cost you about $70. if you dont want to spend that much, get MTEC from ebay way cheaper than PIAA's. if you get the MTECs, make sure you only get the 2X, nothing higher.
stick with stock wattage which is 55/60 watts. MTEC 2X and PIAA super white is within stock wattage

I just bought Mtecs after trying a lot of other brands on my previous car (6th gen civic) I use super white Mtecs with the higher then normal wattage of 90/100 and like them alot other other brands. I have used high wattage 100/130 watts in my 6th Gen since I bought it new to the day I traded it in for my 7th gen and never had issues with melting plastic due to the higher wattage. I have also had higher wattage in my 7th gen yet to have a problem after 10 months with melting and I do a lot of night driving. You can pick Mtecs up on ebay cheap if you look around.

I don't know, some people say theyve melted the wiring or the burned the inside of the light asembly. some say they dont. I had Nokya bulbs in mine twice and I did notice what looked like a burn marks underneath where the bulbs are. So i guess its up to you.

Polarg VIP Style H4's.... Same as PIAA GT's but without that annoying "gold beam of light" in the middle of the beam pattern.. They have a really nice purple/white light... These are the closest in color i have seen to actuall HID's

I notice that PIAA doesent use Xenon technology in there bulbs. Isint Xenon brighter than Holagen? is there a big difference between a PIAA halagon and a Xenon bulb?

I'm wondering how the Polarg VIP's look in a projector beam housing...I loved the way the Piaa Super Plasma's looked, but they burn out way too fast.
