Hi,
I have an 02' with 1.7L in it and I will occasionally overheat(not to the max just above normal) but if I drive it usually returns back down to normal operating temp. It tends to only overheat at slow speeds or when not moving. I suspect it may be my fan not kicking on, as they don't seem to turn on when I turn my a/c they do not turn on either.
Just replaced the thermostat so I eliminated that from the overheating.
Thanks
edit: got the fans to work, will test later tonight.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

I charged the A/C and then unplugged and plugged in the A/C compressor.
Still having the overheating problem, heat goes dead while idling but goes down when driving, coolant being pushed out the res, pretty sure head gasket is gone.

check your oil for radiator fluid. if it looks god flush your radiator and see if that fixes it.
