Rep Power: 0 honda civic 2003 will not start
Hi!
I have a problem with my Honda civic 2003. It will not start. After I was driving from work it was choking and stop working and now it does not start. My battery is good, new alternator, new spark plugs, did check timing good, I have spark. Fuel pump works. What I have to check next?
Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Does the tank have gas in it?
Codes?
Cam timing?
An engine needs spark, fuel, and compression, in the correct amounts and at the correct times, in order to run.

Fuel? Too much or not enough getting into the engine:
Are the injectors pulsing while cranking?
Are the spark plugs wet with gasoline, or dry?
Codes? Got a scanner that can give live engine data?
How was it running before it died?
Were the gauges acting funny?
How many miles are on it?
Where are you, what's the weather like there?
Green key light flashing while you crank it?

It has 270000km . It was running good, nothing is wrong. The sparks are wet. I used quick starter and it did not work. I checked with obd 2 nothing no code. I am in London ON . The weather is ok -5 to -10. The engine is cranking but feel likes it is dead. I checked today again sparks compression 70 psi in all cilinders but it did not start, dead.

Re: honda civic 2003 will not start
Plugs wet could mean any or all of these:
too much fuel, flooded
low compression
can't burn the fuel
70 PSI is far lower than I expect from one of those engines. I expect 180 or higher. (Is the gauge accurate? Was your test method correct?)
Flooding can cause the compression loss, because the oil film is washed off of the cylinder walls and rings.
A teaspoonfull of oil into each cylinder can help restore the lost oil film and compression.
Timing belt jumping a tooth or two will cause serious loss of compression, flooding, power loss. And the computer can shut down the engine if it sees the cam/crank sync far out of whack.
Which of these has happened to your engine?
Can your code reader give live engine data? What is the coolant temp sensor reading?
