97 civic hood doesnt fit flushly up front

I have a 97 Honda civic, The hood seems like its too long up front.

It fits flush in the back lining up with the fender, but the front, specifically the middle does not fit snugly with the headlights/front grill, its like its just an inch or two long.

I thought maybe the hood came from a sedan but apparently coupes and sedans have the same length hood.

my googlefu has found nothing.

The hood brackets aren't the same color as the car, so I don't know if maybe they came from a different civic and that's the reason the hood is too long/protruding.

Anyone know how I can fix this to the hood fits flush?
