Noise Concern

I'm planning on connecting my Ipod to the auxiliary input of the factory HU with one of PIEs convertors. The ipod will hopefully be housed in the coin tray to the left of the steering wheel with the wire running underneath the steering column (in the fuse box, really)

Will this setup predispose me to picking up noise through the RCA?

If so, do you have any thoughts on what would work better?

Thanks!

it could... get the wire as far from the fuse box as possible. or maybe think about that pocket by the e brake to avoid that fuse box

Not really, but you can buy a convertor from logjamelectronics.com that will convert the factory CD changer input (some proprietary input on the back of the HU) to RCA.

darklegacy540 is on a distinguished road
I would seriously reconsider relocating.. Those RCA's are going to induce so much noise from the fusebox that you'll be hearing the uneeded noise in your sleep lol My suggestion: Glovebox, pocket by
e-brake, or my personal favorite... fiberglass something that'll be ****in tight and look custom and put it in there... mmmmmmmmm fiberglass lol
