OK, I know to get 12 volts to your amp you just hook it up.... Simple enough, but how do you get the 14 volts? I keep seeing amps that of course push more power at 14. Anyone know how to get this extra power to the amp?

If you don't believe me use a Multimeter set on DC current and test the car battery's + and - posts with the car off, and then the engine on.

Rep Power: 0 nope... batteries at rest read between 12.6 and 12.66 volts
in order to charge a battery one must have a charge with a higher vooltage going to it, therefore the 14.4 volt alternator...
problem is that accessories running drain teh voltage of the alternator between 12.55 and 14.4 depending on conditions.
