I have a 2006 civic ex coupe and im pretty sure its a r18.. I have a TDO5H 1G turbo from a talon and I have been searching around to find a way to use it on my r18. Would it work? Any advice? Also is it possible to remove the manifold or is it welded to the block?

The turbocharger itself will work but you will probably have to make a custom turbo manifold to use it. I dont think that a civic turbo mani would work with it. And the exhaust manifold is not welded to the head. The exhaust mani is just held on with bolts.

alright i have no idea what size intercooler and down piping I would need and what material... I am going to do it custom because I dont feel like spending 2,000 on a whole kit. Any recommendations on how to make a custom manifold or what would work on the r18

Good luck spending under 2000. The tuning is what’s going to bend you over and leave you with a hemorrhoid. For my hatch it cost about 600 for a hondata s300 and if you get it tuned (professionally) which I recommend, it will run you another 400. Correct me if I am wrong, but for an R18 you need Kpro which costs even more.
If it were me, which I learned my lesson when I boosted D17 for 1,900 (lasted a month) save up some money. I put together a legit amount of money and boosted a B18c hatch and I have yet to have any problems with my setup.
But I could be wrong... I hope that what happened to me dosnt happen to you.

IC pipes, aluminum 6061 and since the snail is small, keep the pipes small like 2.25"
