looking for a good solid reliable hood damper for my em1. bought a pair on ebay for $55 and it lasted only for 1 day! now i'm in the search for a better pair of hood dampers - the type that last and not a piece of shiet! any recommendation would be nice. thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: hood damper
Small gas charged struts.....Man, I went looking up some because I needed one for the lid on one of my toolboxes....
Lift-o-mat by Stabilus was the name.....and I had numbers on my old strut I could google and cross reference.
That somehow led me to a ton of choices from a Stabilus products distributor, you could choose from all sorts of lengths and pressures to suit your needs, dialed in to a T.
Go to the U-Pull-it and grab a set off of a V6 Accord? Or another car?
