Rep Power: 0 Please help me diagnose this noise!!!
Hi all, I just picked up a 2012 Civic LX (manual) which has 55K miles on it. The engine and transmission both run fantasic, aside from one noise... I noticed, once the car is warmed up (after about 7mins of driving), that when I depress the clutch and shift, there is what I can only describe as a rubbery sounding wobbling noise from the front drivers side of the engine bay. This happens when upshifting or downshifting, mostly in gears 1 through 3. there in no noise when shifting/clutching while the car is sitting still, only when shifting/clutching while the car is in motion. This only happens when the car is warm.. ANY IDEAS?? this is NOT a grinding noise.... I can only describe it as a faint wobbling sound..

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
