help please (codes not reading)

tried getting codes with a code reader innova 3030, err1 is the display,not hooking up to the computer, i have a 2007 civic,1.8 . has anyone else had this problem ,does this reader work on 2007 .a garage did read the code for me , for a fee. really would like to solve this problem ,thanks

Call the manufacture. Autozone and Pep Boys has free CEL scanning If there are any around you.
