Synthetic or Regular

Can anyone tell me if I can use Full Synthetic oil in my 1998 EX Civic?

Is there any chances of leakage after using full Syn. oil?

Or only regular will be the right choice?

Re: Synthetic or Regular

if regular oil has been working in the engine for the past 17 years, i see no reason to change it, why try to fix what isnt broken?

im sure that extra money would be better spent on, or saved up for other nessessary repairs/maintanence

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Synthetic or Regular

It doesn't leak oil because of the oil type, it will leak with either oil type.

Re: Synthetic or Regular

You should have no problems with it leaking oil unless you already have leakage.
