engine issue

well i have an 02 dx with an a2 swap. have had it for a few years like that now i cant go over about 3200 rpms. when i hit that it just starts to rev down and even if i have my foot on the gas it will just rev down to about 1100. any ideas on what the cause is or any way to fix the issue

Any check engine light? How are you controlling VTEC?

What testing have you done so far?


CEL on?
Is the PCM for a D17A2 engine?
Does it have P1259 VTEC code?



Backpressure test?

It does have a vtec code I changed the solenoid didn't resolve the issue and I do have an a2 ECM

So is it the code I said, or a different code?



The system relies on proper oil pressure to operate.
Step #1 in diagnosing code P1259 is to inspect oil level.
How low is your oil level?

Ive heard many, none have worked bro. Vtec Solenoid, oil pressure, Vtec Switch, Harness problem. and the list continues. is something i still cant pop
