Rep Power: 0 Subwoofers keep turning off
I have an aftermarket sound system in my civic 04 VP.
My amps:
Infinity 475a
Kenwood Power Amp KAC-PS200T (got this for free)
The kenwood is powering 3 subwoofers MTX THunder 5000
and the infiity is power up 8 more speakers
I installed a second battery (Optima Yellow Top)
and replaced my old alternator with a 160amp one
I am still having the problem where my subs will stop playing due to power consumption problems when I am idle or when I am driving (rare usually at low rpm, can't be sure b/c i don't have a tac)
any advice on what I can do would be appreciated.
I am wondering if the alternator is faulty because that thing should be able to do it.

Re: Subwoofers keep turning off
I would get a capacitor, maybe 2 and wire them into the system. They will help with the loss of power. What gauge wire are you using?

first go to advanced auto parts and have them test your alternator and batteries. its free! if there's no problems then it's your sh!tty amp cutting out from trying to power 3 mtx thunder 5000's. lol. it's only a 600 watt amp dude
