What needs done to get about 150whp out of a d17a1? What about 200whp? Not interested in turbo.

I don't own an EM2 so I'll help as best as I can.It won't be cheap.Basic I/H/E (Should know this already),stage 2 cam,high comp pistons,and kpro.I don't know how much horsepower you'll get outta this,but for sure you'll need these to get to 150whp

i doubt you'll get close to 150whp with those. our engines are pretty pathetic NA.

if u want any real HP gain, ur going to have to go turbo.

or engine swap

Swap to an a2 head, also. But you won't be making more than 130 with all that.

its not worth it dude. ur better off selling ur em2 and getting a used RSX or WRX or soemthing.

our cars arent ment to be fast.

IHE will run you about 1000 + install
stage 2 cam will run you about 700 + install
pistons will run you from 300-600+ + install
Kpro will run you about 1500 + install +tune
and the A2 head will run you about 500 + install

so ur looking at spending around $5000 to make 150whp.

just sell ur car for a few thousands, take that $5000 and buy an RSX.

Or if you're dead set on an EM2 then your only other viable option is to engine swap

Defnitely not gonna be doing that. And I was just interested in seeing what could be done, but I don't need a fast car. I'll live with my lowely civic.
