Rep Power: 235 short ram intake
Hi Everyone,
I know that this topic has been discussed many times, and alot of articles on the web contrdict each other.
My question is, are short ram instakes provide better gas mileage?
I know that alot of people have them and would like to know what your experience or knowledge is regarding this.
Thanks.

yes they do, since warmer air causes the ecu to inject less fuel to get the ideal ratio. but in the winter, there is only so much heat the engine puts out so you will prolly see better performance (and worse mileage) in the winter compared to summer. in winter my intake pipe is ice cold and in summer its too hot to touch. but in general, an sri gives better mileage (and less hp) than a cai.

+1 for short ram if you dont mind the noise when you mash the gas. weight reduction, better noises, better mpg, better looking, and more room in the engine bay are all reasons to get one

Or more space for the fingers to reach stuff when working in the bay?

Weapon R - Secret Weapon FTW!
I thought I'd just throw that in there, I'm going to get one of those as soon as I can afford it. I don't know about all that cow talk... LMFAO, but my Civic will EASILY beat a cow, pschh.. well, the cow didn't know it was racing.. but still.
EDIT: I'll admit, it really is because I like the way it looks.
