i had a similar problem and found out that it was the tranny fluide,it was to low,you might check by checking the level in the tranny.

Change your transmission oil. I went to the dealer and got the oil that goes in the s2000 tranny. It works so well!

if changing your transmission fluid only helps a little bit you should change your shifter cable bushings. Get them from strutking.com. The improve your shifting the most in my opinion.

Yep.. by far the easiest point to add tranny fluid. Be sure you add exactly the right amount though. Transmissions get unhappy when you either over or under fill them. Also trans fluid is one of the few things that you really do need genuine Honda fluid. They put some special silica and other additives that even royal purple or redline don't use that the honda transmissions need.

I never put gear oil in a manual on a Honda, but I have done it on my Sentra, isnt it impossible to overfill the fluid, as once it starts to come out of the hole its full?

It is impossible to overfill if you use the correct fill point. The suggestion is that it is easier to fill from the reverse light sensor which is at a higher location than the normal fill point. The best solution might be to go ahead and remove the fill plug and fill from the reverse switch location until fluid comes out the normal fill hole.
I have never run into it but I have heard it is best to always loosen the fill plug before removing the drain plug on a transmission, differential, transfer case, etc. If you drain the fluid and then find you can't remove the fill plug you have a major problem.
