Rep Power: 0 Line on mirror
We just purchased a 2014 LX(to replace the 2004 EX that died-head gasket-while on a vacation trip). It's my wife's vehicle so I haven't read the manual yet but I noticed a thin vertical line on the driver's side rear view mirror. Any idea what it's for?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Line on mirror
Have you looked in the mirror at what all you can see in that section?
It's like a wide-view in addition to a normal view.
From page 144 in your Sedan owners manual:
The driver side door mirror has outer and inner
segments.
The outer segment is slightly curved to provide
a wider angle view than a standard flat mirror.
This wider view may help you check areas that
are not visible using a standard door mirror.
Expanded View Driver's Mirror
Objects visible in the outer segment of the driver side
door mirror appear smaller than objects in the rest of
the mirror. But in fact, they are closer than they
appear.
Do not rely on your mirrors. Always look to the side
and behind your vehicle before changing lanes.

Re: Line on mirror
Hi everyone, just joined the forum, this is my first post here.
I just picked up my Civic LX yesterday and noticed that line. It's a bit distracting, did you folks get used to it? Do you feel it helps or no?
Thanks!

You'll get used to it.
People seem to question it at first but I have heard very few complaints (none) about it from owners.
