The backlight LED for the Radio display.

Can someone with 2008 Honda DX-G sedan check this for me:
- go and try turn their headlights on and see if the backlight led on the RADIO display dims??
- both when you turn on the headlights or manually push the dim setting buttons next to the steering wheel

My speed console and rpm console dims, but radio led backlite does not dim.

I recall it should but....

I had service done a while back at honda, and noticed it only after a while the radio backlight no longer dimmed, wasnt doing any night driving, and out of town so didnt notice until a month or so after.

So when I went to go to drive the vehicle one night i realized its essentially on "torch" mode on the brighter setting and not adjustable.

This is really annoying when driving at night as its too bright and blinding. So went back to the dealer and they said they touched nothing that would have affected it.

Called Honda canada twice, said i was just out of warranty and can't do anything for me, that they would check with the dealership i went to, to see what they did and they never called back. I went to another dealer and they tell me my model does not dim the radio backlight, because its the base model.

Whois telling me the truth here? or am i delirious?

THanks in Advance!

Re: The backlight LED for the Radio display.

With lights on and key at II it will dim the most at the beep, then dim further if - is pressed longer.

Thanks for the response!

So your Radio back light does dim same time as the speed and tach dash lights?!

Gonna be calling that Honda Service Tech that told me "oh no it doesn't"

Just to confirm you have the same 2008 4dr dx-g as I do??

Anyone else can confirm too, for Canada.

Re: The backlight LED for the Radio display.

I have a 2010 LX. The audio systems are likely identical.
