Talking Speedometer Problem

1. I have a 2010 Civic Coupe, this week the speedometer would indicate I was going A LOT faster than I actually was. Ex: I'm going about 25 and it would say I would be going anywhere from 75-80. It has done this before in the past but it stopped. Now it's doing again and stays that way.

2. When I need to go in reverse it sometimes feels as if the emergency brake is on but it isn't. It really hesitates to go in reverse. Sometimes also it will hesitate just to go forward.

I have an appt. with the dealership on Friday.

Any suggestions?

Re: Speedometer Problem

1 With the car on press and hold the "mph km/h" it will beep and change to mph.

2 There is a delay/lag when going into R and into D, try waiting a little longer before moving after 1st shifting into gear. 1-1.5 seconds.

Re: Speedometer Problem

Thanks I'll try that with the speedometer. But as far as the delay/lag when going into reverse I do give it a few seconds. When driving it will do this when I'm stopped at traffic light or anything else.
