I need a new battery for my 07 EX and trying to decide between a Honda, Interstate, Everstart or something else. Can anyone give me some help deciding?

honda = interstate if that helps. they are pretty decent batteries. if the newer civic still uses group51 size, honda sells a 500cca battery instead of the older 420. its a good upgrade.

My old car had an Interstate. VERY reliable. Never gave me any issues. I mean none whatsoever. Started up on even the coldest days in February.

I always just buy the cheap DuraMaxx batteries at WalMart since they seem to last at least 4-5 years.
My last one only lasted 3.5 years since I let the car sit for a few months while I was out of the country. Died just a few months after the warranty ran out.

My 03 honda stock battery lasted 7 years, was still running with enough juice to start the car, but it was low on CCA, so i topped it off with an ACDelco battery, runs great
If you don't mind 2x the cost of a regular battery, get an Optima yellow top, those last 10+ years (more than twice the lifespan of a regular battery), and is a deep cycle battery, so if one day you forget your headlights, and drain your batt, just jump it, charge it for a bit, and it will be back in top shape
Regular batteries lose holding capacity when drained a couple times

i actually prefer the ones with removable caps. so you can check the levels and add water if needed.
