i recently just purchased a 2011 civic lx, and its way too quiet
my friend told me to get resonator delete and muffler, is this a good idea? are there any cons about that, I'm trying to make my car sound loud and nice.

I would just start with a muffler at first and see how you like it. If you want it to be louder you can add a resonator delete. Won't hurt anything, will just change the sound.
I would buy a good quality muffler for the best sound and longevity. Check YouTube for sound clips.

When I bought my '01, the previous owner had done a resonator delete, and added one of those stainless steel garbage can mufflers. That thing was absolutely annoyingly loud! The next day, I went to my local Pic-A-Part junk yard, and scored a stock muffler from an '04 and installed it. Keep in mind the resonator was still deleted, but now at least I don't have to scream to talk to any passengers.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Make car louder
Cops used to love me when I drove loud cars LOL
Now all my cars are quiet as a church mouse, and I ride a bike with open pipes.
