Slight wiggle after replacing steering wheel [solved]
I have a 2016 Honda Civic LX. I recently replaced the steering wheel because the old one had tears. I replaced it with a very nice one: Hydro Dip Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel. I have not done very many DIY projects on my Honda, but the replacement went relatively well. However, after a couple of drives I noticed that if I push on the left, right, top, or bottom part of the steering wheel (I'm talking about the handle part) there is a slight movement (it moves slightly in). Does anyone know why?
I used an impact wrench when I was tightening up the 10 mm hex that holds the steering wheel to the rest of the car, but I did not wait until there was full resistance for fear of breaking that screw. I thought there was a good number of turns and was fairly confident that it was in there. But I can't think of what else it could be.

Try tightening it properly, there should be a torque spec. Ask the dealer if you can't find it online. If it's still loose it might be just a cheap part

Yes, it was ultimately that 10 mm screw holding the steering wheel to the rest of the vehicle that was causing the problem. I used a different impact wrench (I don't think it had anything to do with the impact wrench, but I borrowed someone's initially and ended purchasing one to finish this project) and let it go/turn until I encountered resistance. Now I know to that, and to actually check for the wiggle when I'm done with that screw, before putting back the airbag. Seems a little dumb, but I just haven't done very many DIYs on the car. Zero wiggle now.
