Windshield Wipers hitting trim

I have a 2001 civic ex and noticed this problem for a while but now its just flat out annoying especially in the rain. Whenever it rains/snows here in NY the wipers will hit the trim on the driver side and passenger side. The arm bushings are worn so there is some play and both arms move together when i move them with the car off. SO my question is, should i just replace the wiper arms or could this be caused by something else completely?

One of the links has a bad (broken) plastic bushing.
It needs the links replaced for the wiper transmission.
They aren't expensive, I replace the pair whenever I do the job
