i was looking at superbrightleds.com because i wanted to change the color of my gauge clusters and i was wondering if people knew what kind of bulb it would take. i know they take #74 but they have i guess different levels of luminosity or brightness. so which one would be better. heres the link for you guys to look at. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...cs%2F74-x.html

Just ordered these and tried installing them today and they were to wide at the base.
Did you ever end up doing this and what bulbs did you end up using?
I'll help answer questions since I've done LED swaps on my dash and such.
What kinda look you going for? And have you thought about DIY bulb conversions? That's the only way I was able to get the brightness I wanted out of LEDs on the cluster. Then again, I was only worried about the needles' illumination
edit: what my gauge cluster looked like. A bit blurry, but you get the idea.

Ive read quite a few threads on this DIY, from what Ive gathered the guage cluster bulb sizes are 74, so i originally ordered the "74 LED Bulb - 1 SMD LED - Miniature Wedge Retrofit" from superbrightleds, but the wedges were to big to fit into the twist lock base.
I was reading diskreet's "DIY LED Gauge Cluster II" and he recommended use of the bulb size 74 that comes in the twist lock base. The "T1.5-CWHP" from superbrightleds.
So currently i'm waiting on delivery of these bulbs, hoping the work. I ordered Cool blue which was they highest lumen rating.
I'm just trying to fix the issue i'm having with burnt out bulbs by saving some money buying LED'S instead of the stock, but if these don't work i might just have to go stock.
