got a 02 ex, i can get a magnaflow 2'25 or 2'50 muff for 40$ and a buddy will weld for free. is it worth it over the stock ex? is it better to just get catback for the xtra $?

On my 2002 LX Coup i just installed a 2.25" magnaflow catback exhaust system and it sounds amazing!!! installation was a piece of cake, all we did was unbolt my old stock one and sliped the pipes together on my new one and clamped everything with the bolted clamps it came with. i might weld it but its holding perfectly, no welds atm, and it only costed me $390 on ebay.

I will bet you just about anything those sucky clamps are leaking. Go back and check it for black marks in a few days. I have that magnaflow system too, and while it sounds great, the slip joints suck. Go have all of them except the one right near the resonator welded.
