(i have a 97 civic ex d15b engine 1.5 )
somedays i start it and it runs like a champ and other days has me frustrated cuz i will start it and it will drive fine for about 1mile or 2 then it feels like a loss of power when i step on the gas like it wants to shut off and if i take my foot off the gas it idles fine then i step on the gas again and it starts to bog out but it if i pushed the gas pettle all the way down it drives fine . and sometimes it shuts off completly on the middle of the highway and it cranks but wont turnover . and sometimes it doesnt even crank. so yesterday it happened to me so i left on the side of the highway for the night went back the next day to tow it with my blazer and it fired up fine and drove all the home which was about 2-3 miles away

hummm thats a hard one. it could be alot of things. maybe a clogged breather valve, or spark plugs or plenty of other things.

you needa describe each situation to us a lil more detailed.

the car has 155,000 the motor has about 60,000 ive changes the plugs and wires and coil, fuel filter like 3 times in a a year in a half

my check engine light is on and the code reads air idle control would that have anything to do with anything?????????

yeah clean the idle air valve which is the small piece bolted to the throttle body and has coolant lines running into it.

also buy some FP60 and clean those fuel injectors!

if you have a stock cat it may be stop up and wen it drive fine the loss of power the cat can make it do that
