Hi Everyone,

i just wanted to know if it's actually better to use higher octane gas.
My owner's manual says to use 87 or higher.

Now i have been using 91 or 94 octane with ethanol.

what do you recommend?

I was under the assumption to stick with 87 unless you were running turbo or nitrous. Someone correct me if I am wrong here.

If he's not boosted or heavily modded with internals he's wasting his money. 87 is fine on a stock civic. Run some fuel system cleaner every 10k and make sure the air filter is clean and your gas mileage will be great.

Up top, there is a button and its name is SEARCH when you click this button it prompts you to type what you want it to SEARCH for. I would recommend you typing gas octane. If you did it would bring up this thread along with others.
