K20A2 swappers - what exhaust are you running?
 

I am looking for a new exhaust system for my wife's '04 Civic which has a K20A2 in it. We currently have a Tanabe cat-back and I don't like it at all.

For those who have done the K20A2 swap, can you please tell me what exhaust you are running? :tup:

2.5" T1R b-pipe and DC5-R muffler with 2.5" custom axleback piping.

I used to use the DC5-R b-pipe ...

Currently im running a Apexi World Seires II But im thinking of picking up a Comptech. Love the Apexi, but i need sometihng thats goign to work with the supercharger now.

Do you have any pix? Who did your exhaust piping?

3" custom turbo back with apexi ws2 turbo muffler.

Custom 2.5 mid to my OEM Axle back. Im goign to have a 05 DC5 exhaust on soon

Spugen aka Anthony's Muffler in Whittier did my piping ... they do a very good job!

greddy evo2, custom midpipe. sounds like crap to me, except above 5k and at full throttle, then it's purdy. but i daily drive it, so i'm dissatisfied 90% of the time.

Umm...why even have a b-pipe? Just run a race header like me. :hgrin:

does a b-pipe have to be modded to fit? that's why i let the cheap-o muffler shop do it was because i figured it pretty much had to be custom made. they claimed the rsx one wouldn't work, but i doubt they had one kicking around.

i have the stock header/cat still, we do emissions every 2 yrs.

no the stock rsx wont fit

as long as you have either a race header or header/cat made to fit an rsx-s, then the rsx-s b-pipe will fit perfectly.

the axleback will need to be cut and lengthened like 4-6 inches.

Im running Apexi WS cat-back. I was thinking of upgrading to Kteller 2.5 with HKS muffler.

What do you guys think about either one of these exhaust mufflers?

From what I was told, this exhaust will bolt right up to my DCRH.

I'm pretty sure you were told wrong ... no offense.

a d17 exhaust will bolt up, but the b-pipe will be too long.

rsx-s exhaust will bolt up, but the axleback will be too short ..

if yours does happen to bolt up ... then that would be sweet. post after you're finished :tup:

Well...the exhaust is for an EM2. If the b-pipe turns out to be too long, I'll have the shop take a hacksaw to it. :hgrin:

yeah ... that may be the case, unfortunately. Josh had an em2 greddy evo2 for his car, but the b-pipe was too long ... he had get that hacked up :giggle:

BTW...would you, Temo (spelling???) and Josh be up for a friendly race against my S?

Temo has a K20A3 right now ... he won't put his K24 back in until it's turbo'ed ... so I'm guessing he's not down.

I'm sure Josh would be down to race too... he's always up for a friendly race. You better hurry though... I'm getting kpro in 2 weeks ;P ... but I'm sure your S2k is all crazy now haha.

Honestly, I could care less if you have K-Pro or not. For your sake I hope you do. ;)
