URGENT ... Need Picture/Description of oil restrictor (feed line to turbo)

Someone please give me the size (diameter) for the oil restrictor that goes in the oil feed line to the turbo. I am using the steel braided line that comes with the SF kit. Car smokin like crazy..

Did the oil restrictor solve the smokin problem for anyone ???

Edit: I got the size (0.065"). Now I need to find or make one of my own. Can someone help me out with this. Pictures? Description? Anything?

Thanks!

is your drain line going down the whole time? if not it will smoke due to exess oil

Ahtasham 10-22-2004 12:51 PM

Yes the drain line is almost vertical and the turbo is located at least 1 foot above the drain point in the pan. However, the drain point in the pan is much lower than where people usually have it.

If your return line fitting is lower than the oil level in the pan, Oil is probably filling up the turbo instead of being drained out of it. I had problems with smoke too. I got a new oil pan and re-attached the fitting so it was at the absolute highest I could get it on the pan and made sure there was a straight drop from the turbo to the pan.

Yes, I am using a restrictor and I haven't had smoke since I relocated the drain line and fitting

the hole for the return line should begin no more than 1 inch down from the flat rim of the oil pan..
