goin to the track goin to the track today so what do you guys think i need to do to prep. for me goin there....im runnin on steelies and usinf 93 oct. im takin my subs out and all...what should i launch at in my k20... |
Re: goin to the track i hope you beefed up your brakes - better fluid, lines, rotors, and pads. edit: by track, you mean 1/4 mile? then....just run whatever you feel like running. launch at 20k. haha |
Re: goin to the track Take a shit a piss before you go. Takes off like 2 pounds right there |
Re: goin to the track For launching....it depends on your set up. Just play with it on the way there, find a good rpm where it will pull hard but won't spin. I say start around 2000-2500 and move up gradually and find the sweet spot :) |
Re: goin to the track u shoulda only filled up half a tank.... i hope ur times are better than last time. |
Re: goin to the track Lower that tire pressure till its FLAT! |
Re: goin to the track Hit VTAK ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!! |
Re: goin to the track weight reduction. |
Re: goin to the track what did u run?? |
Re: goin to the track i ran a 15.5..i dunno what the problem is, its a 1/2 improve from last but still i think my launch is terrible..my r/t is 6/10 and it feels like im so slow off the line.. |
Re: goin to the track 15.5? with k swap OMG. First time I ran I did mid to high 14s all day |
Re: goin to the track maybe use a lower octane fuel like 91 |
Re: goin to the track you should be putting down a 14.7 easily everytime |
Re: goin to the track man no offense but your K20 Track times are kinda depressing.. makes me not wanna save up for the swap. Well i guess have u got it tuned since install? Like i don't know alot about swaps, but i would guess with better tuning any motor could reach its full potential. |
