Oh...Either way, That knob wasn't that bad at all. As long as you don't put it into neutral at stoplights to roll backwards and make people think you have a manual, not too ricey IMO :giggle:

true id like to know. i was planning on just putting in a manual center console with a shift nob like that untill i do a complete manual swap, but i wasnt sure how the whole shift nob would work since u have to push in the button to get out of park in the auto

I'm pretty sure you either lift up or push down the knob.

RHCP0801 04-12-2007 11:49 AM

Re: my interior...from rice to nice

i sold most of it and the rest i just threw out....it has been like this for a while, i jsut got around to cleaning it all out and taking pics

yea i made a DIY on how to change the shift knob and all like a year ago,https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...onversion.html you push down on the chrome button at the top to shift through the gears. The knob is a momo automatico i bought from http://www.cardomain.com/shop/search...omo+automatico...yes it cost a lot of money and the boot i bought from ebay...here is the link to that http://motors.search.ebay.com/_eBay-...sZtellyztunerz

Re: my interior...from rice to nice

so does the shift nob just have to press the shifter down? if thats the case maybe i can fabricate somethin...

Re: my interior...from rice to nice

I'm pretty sure that shift knob is the key here. Something special about its inner workings.

RHCP0801 04-12-2007 03:26 PM

Re: my interior...from rice to nice

there is something inside the shift knob that presses down the shift lever, it works the same way as the stock one does...if you just unscrew the stock knob which takes two seconds you can see how it works...not hard at all im sure you can fab something up to shift

for the past week or so i have been doing the same thing... a while back i painted everything white to match the outside. now i am slowly painting everything back to black between times of work and sleep. infact i need to go paint right now.

Re: my interior...from rice to nice

I'm thinking about painting my center console flat black to match the headlights instead of the gloss it is now. Can't really decide, though. I may photoshop it to see what it would look like.

I think I honestly liked your old shifter setup though.

i like the stock shifter setup, old looked way out of place.

Re: my interior...from rice to nice

Yeah, stock looks cleaner. As it does in most cases.
