3 02 sensors!!!!!!!!

I have a 2003 Civic HX with 3 thats right 3 02 sensors, now i put on a hp racing header an high flow cat an boom check engine light!!! now i got 1 02 senor bypass on the one after the cat(not drilled out, is this a problem) still with the check engine light on) i just installed a sencond 02 sensor bypass on the second 02 sensor, i don't have one on the first don't worry, i'm just wondering if there are any other civics out there my year or so that have had the same problems an how did you fix them. An what models have 3 02 sensors lx/dx/hx????????????? i take the ex's only have the 2????????

the mechanical O2 sensor has to be drilled out on one defouler and drilled center in the second defouler now as for 3 sensors.. huh..

Ya why do you have Three o2 sensors?! Where is each located according to your stock exhaust?

btw... try getting an o2 sim to get rid of the CEL.

3 Attachment(s)
I guess pics were a must on this an both 02 sensor bypasses installed were acually predrilled.... my bad.....

BTW! Notice the cat upside down then rightside up making 2 02 sensors in the stock manifold, an then one in the rear of the cat!

I need help c'mon somebody say something

R1Style 03-15-2006 11:27 AM

man... I honestly have no idea.
Someone on this board made o2 sim that taps into your ecu. Maybe look into that for getting rid of your CEL.

btw... post this in the tech forum... you might get more help

?wow!?

Civic HX? Isn't that the so called "lean burn" model only available in California? My guess is that it has 3 o2 sensors to have even more precise control over the mixture. If it is indeed the HX I am thinking of, you should probably just stay away from modding it. The ECU is programmed to run the engine for optimal fuel efficiency. (even more so than a standard civic)

nighthawk1903 03-16-2006 07:14 AM

well, i live in ohio, so what the **** do i do, i have 2 02 bypasses on there an the check engine is still on, do i "A" have another problem or "B" there just not working correctly??????????????????

I think all my fun an hard work is just gonig to dissapear because of the ******* salesmen or sold me the
car, I guess i will have to be done moddding it that sucks, cuz thats the only reason i bought the car..............

Anybody else got anything??????????????
