Need Help With My Exhaust I am bringing my car back to stock, so I traded my aftermarket exhaust with someone for his stock exhaust. I have a 2002 civic ex sedan. I have a dc header downpipe and cat that is already on my car. I sent him my everything behind my cat, and he is sending me his stock exhaust. He has a 2001 lx sedan. He told me the exhaust is different. Am I going to be able to make his exhaust work on my car. I dont car about perfromance or anything like that... i just need it to work for about 30 miles until I sell the car.... Is it going to work? Reminder: I already have from my header down to my cat... so all I am going to use of his exaust is from the cat-back.. |
You might run into a problem with the rear swaybar. The LX didnt come with a swaybar so the rear section pipe is straight and will hit the swaybar. Not sure about the rest of the piping since you modified it. |
The lx pipe is longer and will not mate up with your header and cat The lx has a longer mid pipe You will need to cut and rewelded the pipe to mate up to the ex cat. also the lx uses a two bolt flange connector and the ex has a three bolt design. Your gonna need to go to a muffler shop. |
Allright so... it will work, but I will have to cut and weld... cool |
