Rear-ended =/ (PICS)

So.. I get rear-ended by another civic (92-95) while on my way to get my license (I just realized I had lost it).

Rear bumper is totally finished and my left tail-light is crooked.
I'll post up pics tomorrow...

I went straight to the scrap yard...

got an 03 rear bumper with the OEM lip for 150$ CAD =D =D

well.. let's hope my bodyshop guy can make everything look like new for under 350...

jakejham 12-29-2004 07:35 AM

good luck. how did you find an 03 rear with lip, in a scrapyard?

mexinaction 12-29-2004 09:42 AM

damn you lucky to fond a rear OEM lip in a a scrapyard

sucks to hear that your cars got rearended. is it really bad?

2k3kansasEX 12-29-2004 09:50 AM

that sucks you alright

FaZe 12-29-2004 10:08 AM

The whiplash was horrible right after the accident (I really thought my airbags were gonna pop on me).

The guy that rear-ended me was going easily at 90km/h in a 50 zone. I was sooo pissed... when I saw he couldn't slow down.. I floored the car.. redlining first and second practically to speed up.. but yeah.. BOOOOOM

I'm going outside to take pictures now...

mexinaction 12-29-2004 10:10 AM

i got rearended in vegas myself, it wasnt that bad

still have to take it to the body shop, but i might not even do it, just wait for body kit

Farage 12-29-2004 10:37 AM

350 will not cover that...

nickm748 12-29-2004 11:18 AM

that sucks man

2k3kansasEX 12-29-2004 11:30 AM

danm sorry man

wrussi 12-29-2004 11:53 AM

wash it to see if any more damage appears if you have the bumper and can get a good place to install it and paint it to match and fix or replace the taillight probably it will all be arround 500 - 600

MrDibbs19 12-29-2004 10:14 PM

damn that sucks

nindoo 12-30-2004 08:19 PM

Sorry to hear that.

what's your deductable? Is the guy gonna pay cash or are you gonna make an insraunce claim?

dre2600 12-30-2004 08:29 PM

I've been rearended 4/5 times in my Civic, seems like these cars just ask for it.

Congratulations on saving a bit of cash on the fix, sorry to hear about your accident.

diskreet 12-30-2004 08:38 PM

350 can buy a new bumper installed so i can see 350 not being too much for that. all he needs is a new bumper and maybe some of the trunk to be bent back to shape. doesnt look too bad but still sucks alot!

xX03EXx 12-30-2004 08:44 PM

ehh, I don't like how the trunk fits like that, it could be just the tail, however, i would guess that there is some frame damage.

ty.barrack 12-31-2004 01:11 AM

man that sux.

eye_see_you 12-31-2004 01:45 AM

ouch , that sucks man hope it all works out and you can get it done for the cheap price

jackal903 12-31-2004 02:05 AM

dont fix it......just change the 04 rear bumper and tail lights.....that was what i did!

rEkKaShInObI 12-31-2004 02:28 AM

what the fock!!!

I lost it cuz I put it back in my pocket instead of my wallet after I got carded. (yeah.. I'm 22 but look 16)

Finally.. fix cost was 400$ (150$ for bumper/lip and 250$ for bodywork/paint)

no frame damage, just new bumper/paint and tailight readjusted.
I'll take pix of the car tomorrow....
